Young Grant-Makers Programme Open

“We are a group of 15 local young people aged 16-26 who became Islington Giving’s first Young Grant-Makers in May 2018. We have joined Islington Giving to make grant decisions that will benefit Islington’s young people.

We are now inviting applications for projects that will strengthen the community in Islington and provide more activities for young people enabling them to learn new skills and meet new people. Through this call we are keen to work with organisations to help young people take positive steps and improve their quality of life.”

Does your work support young people in Islington? Read the guidelines for this new programme here, and sign up to meet us on our information evening. Further details below.

Making the Most of Free Time

Through our Making the Most of Free Time consultation, during which we spoke to 340 local young people, we learnt that young people living here want to influence what gets funded in their area. 47% of those we spoke to said they wanted more funding for youth activities. The Young Grant-Makers Programme responds to the findings of this report, which you can read in full below.
