Five reasons to support Islington Giving

  1. Islington Giving is the first campaign of its kind, strategically addressing urgent community issues across an entire borough
  2. It is a model of collaboration and partnership – led by a powerful coalition of charitable partners and involving local voluntary and public organisations
  3. Islington Giving is launched at a time when the role of charities and voluntary organisations has never been more important
  4. Islington Giving has been created by organisations with exceptional knowledge and understanding of Islington and its needs.
  5. Income for Islington Giving, and the projects it supports, will be managed on behalf of the Coalition by Cripplegate Foundation, an independent, trusted organisation that has been working in the Borough since 1500.

5. Get your employer involved

If your employer is registered you can donate to Islington Giving straight from your earnings. Just fill in the form on our website and we will do the rest. If they aren’t registered visit http://www.workplacegiving.co.uk/employers/.

Islington is home to a huge range of businesses and we want to encourage them to be a part of Islington Giving. Your employer could help us develop a volunteering programme for staff from being a mentor to a child from a disadvantaged background through to providing website support to a small community group

We think of businesses as Islington residents and your employer can give money for projects supporting some of the poorest people in the country who live just a few streets away from your place of work

6. Support the restaurant campaign ‘a little tip’

Our restaurant campaign allows you to give a voluntary tip of just £1 onto your bill. Check out our website to find out which Islington Restaurants are taking part.

Restaurants – get involved with our little tip campaign and you and your diners can be supporting Islington Giving by adding just £1 to their bill

Islington Giving is a small charity with big ideas, by volunteering for us you can make a huge difference. We need people to support us in fundraising, recruiting restaurants and supporting running the projects that we fund.

UnLtd are a national charity supporting social entrepreneurs based in Whitecross St. in Islington. They are part of Islington Giving and are looking for Islington residents who have what it takes to make a positive difference for Islington.
