On October 27th at The Arsenal Emirates Stadium the Islington Chamber of Commerce and Camden Business Network will be launching its inaugural “CIBAs” evening function. The Camden and Islington Business Awards promises
to showcase the very best business talent from across these 2 vibrant boroughs. The awards have been established to recognise and celebrate those business owners in Camden and Islington who have successfully grown and maintained their business positioning throughout 2010 and 2011.
Islington would not be what it is today without the important work carried out by numerous charities throughout the borough and therefore Islington Giving has been chosen as one of the two official charities which will be supported by proceeds from the CIBAs.
Islington Giving is a campaign – for Islington people by Islington people – to raise £3million over three years for innovative new ways to tackle poverty by investing in young people, confronting isolation and promoting volunteering. The campaign is a coalition of charitable trusts, The Breadsticks Foundation, City Bridge Trust, Cripplegate Foundation, The Morris Charitable Trust, Richard Cloudesley’s Charity, UnLtd and Voluntary Action Islington who want to work together in a unique and powerful partnership, using their knowledge of Islington to effect real change.
