Our mission

Islington is a place of social extremes where London’s richest and poorest residents exist side-by-side, living entirely different lives. Islington Giving’s mission is to raise at least £3 million as a campaign for local people by local people to support the local community.

It will use this to support innovative projects which will tackle poverty and create opportunity by supporting three key themes:

These themes are:

• Investing in young people
• Tackling poverty
• Confronting isolation

Giving money is important but giving time is equally valuable so Islington Giving will support the recruitment of 500 new volunteers for the borough supporting community groups to effect real change.
